Christmas party at day care

Here the kids were all supposed to hug them selves and say I love you mommy and daddy. Of course our monster just stood there. Then they told the kids to go and hug mommy and daddy and ours ran over but refused to hug us. We like to hug in our family I am not sure where he gets this from.

Christmas party at day care

So tonight they had their annual Christmas Party at Timothy's day care. Each room (age) does a different country so it is Christmas around the world. They study and learn about that country for November and December and then they do little things in the class. The teachers were ready to take the kids to the hall to prepare them and my son grabs on to me like he has never been there before. He did not want to participate. the teacher had to tell him he could hand out the bells as her helper to get him to go and then he pouted the whole time they did the program.

Also he appears according to the teachers to already be a ladies man. He will not sit at the table with the boys to do things. When each girl came in he brought them chocolate. He already knows the way to their hearts I see. I am not sure where he gets this from.

Zoo pictures

Zoo - August 30

OK so I am really slow at this posting stuff. We went to the zoo with my sister's family and my mom. It was a fun day for the kids especially since we took the train to the zoo. It was so nice to do that and not have to drive and park. Matt and I are thinking of a membership so we can go more often since it is open all year.

It was a hot day so not too many animals out and Timothy fell asleep about 3 in his stroller. But the kids still had fun. I tried to take a picture of Timothy touching a sting ray but was not successful since I was also trying to get his little arm in the pool to reach. Daddy might have it on the video so if I can get that on here I will. I need to figure out how to do that.

Here are some that we took for the day. The kids got to pretend that they were vets and work on the animals (stuffed) they were cute and really liked it.

Our long weekend

Well last week my grandmother passed away. Timothy and I took a trip with my sister and niece up to Rhinelander WI for the service. It was a long rode trip about 6 hours up and 7 back. With a two year old and 5 year old it was "are we there yet" or " I want out of my car seat". We survived the trip and the kids had fun playing in the hotel pool and with all of their second cousins. The service was very nice.

Here are some pictures we took of the kids in front of the town mascot, a Hodag (what ever that is). They thought it was cool and they liked the big teeth and claws.

New Patio

Well we finally got our new patio. The only problem is that the dirt(clay) was too hard to dig so they raised it. Now Matt will need to hurry and put the flower beds around it since I do not like how the gravel looks. He is taking volunteers for assistance....

evening walk

We have started taking evening walks after dinner. Timothy sometimes likes it and sometimes does not. This shot was him wanting us to hurry up. Then part of the way around he tried to take of his helmet and ride and that is not allowed. So we had to carry the bike and walk back with a crying child.

ice cream face

Doesn't this ice cream sandwich look yummy? Not after it is all over my face mommy...

July 20, 2008

Boy two year old children are really fun. I decided to take timothy for a walk today up to Walgreen's which is only about a 1/2 mile. He likes to be outside and walk so no big deal. Except as we were getting close to home he decided he wanted to go back where we were and not go home. On a major street, with houses all around he decides to start screaming bloody murder. People must have thought I was kidnapping him. I finally had to pick him up and carry him. Which caused more screaming and tensing of his body. He sure does have a temper and does not like it when he does not get his way.

Daddy was in the yard doing some stuff and called to see where we were and then he saw us and heard the screaming about 5-6 houses away. We need to work on this with our child, but I am not sure where to go.

Timothy is now swimming with mommy on Thursday nights and daddy on Saturday morning. He is so comfortable in the water (with his bubble) he was floating around and swimming by himself on Saturday with daddy. I wonder what would happen if we took off the bubble? We will try and see if we can get a picture of it for you all to see.

Like father like son

Daddy shaved his head and Timothy wanted to match. So here they are.

See my new cowboy hats. I am lucky Grandpa bought me one and mama bought me one. Mommy bought me cowboy boots too. I like them so much I keep wearing them to school in my shorts. I will tell mommy to take a picture.

I helped Grandma make lima beans for dinner and then oatmeal for breakfast. I learned not to touch the pot on the stove since it was hot.

Vacation to Gradpa's in North Carolina

The tractor was fun but I wanted to go a different direction than grandpa wanted. Looks like some good bugs over there. I got to see lots of trees and bugs while at Grandpa's house.

More Church picnic

The cotton candy was really good can you tell?

Here are some pictures from the church picnic

I had lots of fun sliding and jumping around.

July 11, 2008

OK so how do my friends have time to post every day I certainly do not! Well last week we went to Hayesville NC to visit Matt's dad and step mom. It was a long ride that both Timothy and mom got car sick on in the mountains. Poor Matt had to stop a few times each way due to Timothy's begging to pull over.

Timothy enjoyed riding the tracker with daddy and grandpa. He also played catch with Cody the dog and chased around and pet the cat Mariah. All in all a good trip. I will post some pictures when I get home tonight.

Hope you are all having a great Friday!

Lets feed the birds daddy

I like to feed the birds says Timothy. Can we do it again daddy???

June 18 evening

Well we had some left over cupcakes from fathers day and I think Timothy liked the frosting more than the cakes as you can see he is wearing it.

Hey all welcome to our new blog called Brown Times. Catchy huh! I thought I will try and see if daily we/I can write news and updates on the family and what is going on.

Last Saturday Timothy had his first swimming lesson with daddy at the YMCA. Timothy was excited and all morning wanted to go swimming. When they got there he went in the water and then wanted out right away. The other kids were jumping in and Timothy wanted to so he did. But he did not like that very much. Maybe next week will be better.

Fathers day was fun we had a all the nieces and nephews over and they all played in Timothy's new whale pool. They had a great time running around and jumping into it. They all played so nicely for the day. There was one point it was quiet and we looked and all the kids were spread around the room reading books. We are all teaching them well that reading is a good thing!

Well I will see what excitement we have later today to write more.
